Phil was a real friend, we had many great memories before he married
Helen and I married Vivian. We met in Lawrence, Kansas 1966-68 when I was attending Graduate School at KU.
We continued our friendship until his
Passing. Bill Dotson our other friend
During that time shared our friendship and all the memories we
Made in Lawrence until his passing in 1921. I am turning 83 in Dec. and I sure miss those two! One day in Heaven we will be together again.

Helen, what a shock to learn of Phil´s passing. What great friends we became in 1966 when I came to KU to work with Bob Timmons Track Team at KU.
I lived with Bill Dotson across the street from Phil, we three became
Good buddies and spent countless hours together. Every night we would go to a place called Kings for coffee. Oh the story´s and memories of those times.
Phil and Bill came to my wedding 1968 and in 1972 Phil, Helen, Vivian and I took a twenty day trip to Europe, what fun we had seeing many places Phil had been while he was in the service.
I might add Bill and I were in Phil´s wedding in some capacity if i
remember correctly.
So proud to have know him and will miss him until I see him again in
Heaven.
Helen if you didn´t know Bill passed away in June of this year. I´m excited that Phil was their to greet him.
What a beautiful family you guys have, blessings to you

I didn't know Mr. Everley, but I had the honor of having Mark, Patrick, and Steven as students, and found them to be three of the smartest, most good-humored, and nicest young men I ever worked with. Their successes are a testimony to their father and mother. My thoughts and prayers to all the family.

Helen,Mark,Patrick & Steven
I remember when the boys were born and later on running around your house playing in the caboose and setting off fireworks from your stand and sledding down the big hill across the damn. I remember the Xmas Phil was so excited he could hardly wait to surprise Helen with her present sitting in our garage with a huge bow on it ! What a truly fun and loving family and great neighbors you all were.
I hope you celebrate his life, reminiscing and laughing and being joyful together.
My Prayers and deepest sympathies are with you all.......

Growing up with Patrick, you always knew if one of the Everley boys had an event--be it a school concert, basketball game or otherwise--Phil would be there cheering them on, and Helen would be right by his side. I'm so sorry for this great loss to a beautiful family. My deepest thoughts and sincerest prayers are with you all.

There are ornery and scary things that sisters remember. The scariest one was watching Phil and Billy Long climb to the top of the Water Tower when the sirens went off for tornados. They (rightfully) called me #chicken". Ornery was throwing cherry bombs down our cistern. You could hear the explosions up on old highway 10. - Sister, Barbara Eichhorn

Dear Helen, Mark, Patrick & Steven - My thoughts and prayers are with each one of you. We all have so many fun memories growing up together and Phil is right in the middle of all of them. I'm sure he's up there selling fireworks to our beloved Jesus. Love you and God bless.

I grew up playing in Phil's caboose in his backyard and I learned to ride a bike on the same day with Mark in the Everley's driveway. Phil brought us Dilly Bars from Dairy Queen when we worked at the fireworks stand, so he earned the name "Dilly Philly". Patrick called me "Bash" when he was little, so I'm still just "Bash". The Everley family will always be my family too.
