Nancy Boozer Obituary
Nancy taught PE classes at KU and founded the women's golf program in 1972. She enjoyed an outstanding amateur golfing career highlighted by winning the Kansas Senior State title in 1983.
She was also handy with a sewing machine, played the piano, was a bridge player and she had a great love for animals.
After raising their three daughters, Barbie, Beth and Beverly, Nancy and Warren moved to Las Cruces in 1995 where they spent the remainder of their lives.
Nancy suffered from Alzheimer's but she fought the good fight and showed amazing strength through it all. Donations can be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association or The Humane Society.

I have wonderful memories of Nancy as she was my field hockey coach at KU in the fall of 1969. I believe she founded that program as well as the women's golf program in 1972. She was so encouraging and supportive and made me really want to be a part of her team. Of course, we didn't refer to her as Nancy. She was Coach Boozer! I have spoken of her many times since my hockey years. She left an indelible mark in life and has a special place in my heart. God's blessing to her family. I know she will truly be missed.

Aunt Nancy's obituary was a wonderful tribute to a remarkable woman. I have many fond memories of her in healthier times. It's no wonder our families love golf and animals!

We are sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. I remember her as a Chapter I PEO member. Bill also played at Warren's me.orial service at the Picacho Hills Country Club. She was a wonderful woman. Beverly has been devoted to Nancy in the last years of her life. Blessings to her family and friends. Rest in Peace Nancy. Love, Joan a d Bill Kuyper
