Gertrude Hraback Obituary
Gertrude Hraback, age 96 of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Saturday Dec. 8, 2012 at her home while surrounded by her family. Visitation was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (1086 N. 94th St. Kansas City, KS.) with a Rosary Service being said at 10:30 a.m. and the Funeral Mass starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial then followed in the St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the St. Philippine Catholic Church in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.
Gertrude was born November 13, 1916 in Kansas City, MO the second of six daughters born to Joseph Hall and Barbara Margaret (Mund) Hraback. She attended the Timmons Grade School in Edwardsville, Kansas. Gertrude was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church where she enjoyed participating in the Church Choir. Gertrude was an avid gardener of both vegetables and flowers on her family's farm. She was preceded in death by her parents and by three of her sisters, Josephine Agnes, Barbara Margaret and Sister Frances Anna. Survivors include her two sisters Mary Barbara McCoy and Sophia Katherine Hraback both of the home as well as extended family, neighbors and friends.
