Brenda Boyd Obituary
Becky was born on July 23, 1947, the daughter of C.J. and Ruby (Haas) DeHoff in Lawrence, KS. She was married to her husband, Robert (Bob) Boyd, in spring of 1968, a bond that lasted for over 50 years. She received her Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Kansas and Master's degree in Counseling from Missouri State University. Throughout her teaching and counseling career, at Johnson County Community College, Drury College, and Minnesota State University, she guided and enriched many of the peoples lives around her as she did daily with her family and friends who she always had surrounding her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and mother in law Grace Boyd Anderson. She is survived by her husband Bob and their two children, daughter Beri (Boyd) Hinkle and husband Brad; and daughter Robyn (Boyd) Holsman and husband Jason; her biggest joy in life four grandchildren, Cole and Cody Hinkle, Savannah and Grant Holsman; sister Linda (DeHoff) Ingalls; and brothers Jim DeHoff and John DeHoff , and many loved nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of KU Medical Center and Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care for providing compassionate care in her final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to either of these facilities of your choice. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.MuehlebachChapel.com

I was saddened to read about Beckys passing. I have not seen her since 1969, but remember her laugh and wonderful smile. We both pledged Alpha Gamma Delta at KU the fall of 1966. Many great memories of that time. After graduating in 1969, my husband and I moved to Fargo, ND for 10 years and I lost contact with Becky. Bob, Beri and Robyn, I cant begin to tell you just how our hearts are truly breaking for you at this time. The first thing I thought of when Mom told me was that infectious laugh of hers and that beautiful smile that was so warm and welcoming!
