Isao Kobayashi Obituary

ISAO JOHN KOBAYASHI 65, of Honolulu, passed away on September 20, 2025. Born and raised in Honolulu, John dedicated the later years of his life to serving the community as a Custodial Supervisor at Honolulu International Airport. His hard work, kindness, and willingness to help others without expecting anything in return touched countless lives. A proud graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1978, John was known for his warm heart, sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty to his close friends. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his son, Jonathan "Ika" (Anna) Kobayashi; daughter, Erika Kobayashi (Mark Outumuro); grandson, Greyson; brothers, Ira and Dr. Joel (Helena) Kobayashi; and sister, Eimi Wong. John's greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandson Greyson, and creating lasting memories with those he loved most. His legacy of generosity, laughter, and strength will live on through them. Services will be held at Hosoi Garden Mortuary at 4:00 PM on October 25, 2025. Casual attire is requested.
