A close friend from high school and lots of good times with him. Back then, we talked to our friends directly in person, sometimes in what were called "rap sessions", usually late at night, especially in church youth group retreats. When he was in town in later years, he would stop by and see my late mom. She always appreciated that. Tom personified charisma and caring.
