Thomas Dwyer Obituary

Thomas Patrick Dwyer was born April 22, 1974 to Virginia Evelyn Drake and James C Dwyer at Lawrence Ks. He was the last baby delivered by Dr. Russell Franklin in Lawrence, KS.

Tom went to Grant Elementary, Central Jr. High, and Lawrence High, Class of '92. He was a member of the Jayhawk 4H club and showed many blue ribbon lambs at the Douglas County Fair. He worked in the summers while in high school on farms for Don Palmateer.

Tom attended Johnson County Community College and worked part time for Farmland Industries Research Farm near Lansing, KS. He attended Kansas State University and worked for the O'Reilly auto parts store. Tom became a really good fisherman and mushroom hunter. He enjoyed going on family fishing vacations to Minnesota in the 90s, and in the 2000s, he invented his own lures. He worked full-time with O'Reilly and was transferred to Osage Beach, Missouri. In recent years he worked in the resort industry in the Osage Beach area and made many friends in the area. He was still a K-State football and KU basketball fan.

Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jay and Josephine Drake, paternal grandparents Jim and Dorothy Dwyer, his mother Ginger Dwyer, and his sister Lara Dwyer. He is survived by his dad, two brothers, many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

Tom died at St. Louis Cancer Hospital on November 4th. A memorial gathering will be held at Woody's, Osage Beach, Missouri on December 4th.
