Stephen D. Harrison

A celebration of life will be held at Emmaus Church, McLoud Oklahoma on Thursday August 22, 2013 @ 4:00pm. Private internment will be held at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas at a later date. He died August 19, 2013 at the Veterans Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Stephen was born in Lawrence, Kansas on May 19, 1949, son of Alice Jeane Harrison and Edgar A. Harrison both preceded him in death. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1967. He attended University of Kansas. Stephen enlisted in the United States Army. He graduated from Officer Candidate School and retired from the United States Army in 1994.

He married his beloved, Jessica Lee Moses on August 21, 1970 in Lawrence, Kansas. She survives of the home.

He is survived by two children: David Harrison of Norman, Oklahoma and Jillian Treadway of Mcloud Oklahoma. Five grandchildren : Amanda, Jeremy, Breanna, William, and Owen. Two brothers: Kenneth Harrison and his wife, Sarah, of Roanoke, Texas, and Richard Harrison and his partner, John Campbell, of Edison, New Jersey.

In lieu flowers the family suggests donation be made to the Moore Youth Baseball Association (MYBA) to replace baseball equipment lost during the Moore Oklahoma tornado. Any donations can be mailed to 34 Horseshoe Lane, McCloud Ok 74851.
