Marilyn and I remember Roy as a faithful member of the Kansas East Conference. As young pastors, we always admired the witness of both Roy and Margaret.

Margaret,
I have always thought so much of Roy. I remember my first visit to a congregation after I became DS was to Axtel UMC ib the occasion of their Centennial and Roy preached. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Although I did not know Rev. West, as a colleague, I am so very blessed to have shared in ministry with him in the Kansas East Conference. I trust that our Lord has welcomed him home, and I pray our Lord's comforting arms to embrace you and lift you up during this time of grief. Your family and friends have been added to the prayer list of the Jerusalem Road Parish. Pastor Cat Love and I thank you for your ministry with Rev. West through those nearly 70 years together. In Christ's love and service,

Just happened to check the Topeka paper online and learned of Roy's passing. Roy and Margaret and family will always have a special place in our hearts and memories. We have always been very thankful that Roy and Margaret were our pastors and friends at the important time of our lives when we were in college and getting married. Their influence in our lives was that of very loving and principled people. Our love and sympathy to all the family.
