A beautiful life lived out exactly as she wanted it to be. She was a lucky lady indeed to have so many that loved her. I have no doubt she is watching over her friends and family in between the dances. She is so very blessed that her Jane held her hand each and every day as she was always by her side. Treasured memories and a promise kept. Blessings to all..... Oh and by the way momma H, YOU looked stunning!

When I was about 7 or 8, I met Judy at school. From that time on I was always welcome at the Hamby's home. Martha helped Judy and me make homemade fudge several times. She showed us how to find the soft-ball stage. She made wonderful German chocolate cake. I remember that she would take a nap after lunch. I remember that her lotion, Jergen's, always smelled so good. Even as a grown-up, I would try to find the old-fashioned Jergen's lotion, and it would make me think of Martha. In the last few years when I went to visit her, she would joke and laugh. She had a fabulous sense of humor and didn't take anything too seriously. She loved her ivy plants. Every time I visited, she would make me feel so happy and feel like I was loved and like it was 55 years ago. By the way, Martha and Ray did square-dancing with my uncle Austin and Lorine in their later years. I will sure miss her. I loved her very much. Cindy Meyer

To Jim, Jane, and Judy,

Growing up with Jim, we hung out at the Hamby home on many occasions. I remember your Mom, as kind, quick witted, and patient, as several of us were always over there laying around, playing basketball. and eating all of Dr. Hamby's ice cream. I have nothing but kind words to say about this dear sweet lady. May God bring peace comfort and healing to all of you. She will live forever in our hearts. Thank you Mrs. Hamby for sharing your life with us.
