Margaret DeLaurier Obituary

Margaret Mae DeLaurier, age 91 of Lakeland, Florida, formerly from Gladwin, Michigan, passed away surrounded by her loving family at Lakeland Regional Hospital on Feb.11, 2018 after a short illness. She was born May 22, 1926 in Flint, Michigan, to Charles and Emily Spencer.
She had two brothers who preceded her in death, Lloyd and Theodore Spencer.
She married Archie DeLaurier on Sept. 25, 1946. They were married 59 years until he went to be with the Lord.
She is survived by her son, David W. DeLaurier Sr. of Gladwin; daughter, Darlene (Dan) of Lakeland; grandchildren, Lisa, David, Jason, Andrea (Kurt), Andrew (Dianne), Emily and Sarah (Christian); 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
She was predeceased by sons Gary and Ronald DeLaurier.
She adored her family and enjoyed cooking and baking for them, especially cakes for every occasion. She was a member and Chaplain for the Gladwin/Beaverton VFW Ladies Auxiliary. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at TBA Church, 1815 Co. Rd. 540A, Lakeland, Florida 33813. Pastor Sammy Ortiz officiated. Inurnment services will be held graveside in Butman Cemetary, Gladwin, Michigan, in the summer.
