Kay Ford Obituary

Kay Steward Ford passed away on April 27 at Tonganoxie Nursing Center. She was the only child of Floyd and Margar Steward Ford passed away on April 27 at Tonganoxie are) Steward and grew up in Clay County, KS where she graduated from CCCHS in 1955.

She was employed at various savings and loans and was a realtor when she retired in 1998.

She married Rod Clark in 1960. They later divorced. She married Loren Ford in 1976 in Tonganoxie. He preceded her in death in 1999.

Survivors are a daughter Kathy (Paul) Underwood, Tonganoxie, KS; and two sons, Robert Clark, Wamego, KS and Rodney (Ruth) Clark, Surprise, AZ; four stepchildren, Curt Ford, Terri Bailey, Todd Ford and Marla Falkenstien; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and seven step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.

She was a member of Wamego First United Methodist Church and a long-time member of the Wamego Country Club where she played golf for many years.

Private graveside services and interment will be at Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie, KS at a later date.

Memorials suggested to Vintage Park at Wamego, 1607 Fourth St., Wamego KS 66547 where Kay resided for five years.

Kay and I were friends. We met when we both worked at Citizens Savings in Wamego and remained friends through the years. I was so sorry to hear of her health decline and death. My sympathies to her entire family. You were all so special to her. God bless.
