I found Judy to be a positive person whom I always saw with a smile on her face. It's terribly unfortunate what has happened to her. I was hoping that she would have been able to pull through. I am lucky to have known her and am very grateful for the time that I spent with her. I hope that she is at peace.

Judy was a rare combination of superlative kindness and knowledge, an unusual persona in a research university. When under duress for those around her, she knew how to help and knew what to do, got the job done, and moved on to enjoying life. When someone this special is gone, a sense of true regret is inevitable, accompanied by the joy that comes from having known an extraordinary person like this. :-(

When I think of Judy, this is what I see. This is how she always looked to me. She was a great woman and a good friend, and she loved those grandkids. She will be missed by many.

Farmer family, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Judy. We worked together at KU where she spoke so wonderfully about her children and grandchildren. Judy was a delight to be around and a totally lovely person. She will be missed.
