John Hamm Obituary

John Lee Hamm died Saturday, 21 March, 2015, from cardiac arrest. He was 70. Born 14 October, 1944 to John Dennis Noble and Grace Rhodes, he was adopted and raised by his paternal grandparents, Lee and Cecil Hamm. He graduated from St. Joseph High School Shawnee, KS, attended Johnson County Community College, and earned a B.A. from the University of Kansas. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 until 1965. Mr. Hamm loved music and, most importantly, his family. He owned more records than he knew what to do with, was arguably the best treasure hunter around, and although he had no musical pitch, that didn't stop him from whistling. Few things could stop him.

Mr. Hamm is survived by his mother Grace; three sons, John, Justin, and Thomas; siblings, Debi Robbins, Kim High, Dina Sprinkle, and Lloyd High; three grandchildren; and his ex-spouse, Lenette. He is predeceased by his sister, Lynn Gray, his father and grandparents.

Mr. Hamm's ashes will be buried with a tree in a private ceremony. Donations to the American Heart Association are encouraged.
