Chris Lear

August 8, 2018

On behalf of my mother, Mary Lear, and myself I wish to extend our condolences to Jay's family. Jay was a life long dear friend of my father (Chuck Lear) and I enjoyed getting to share a few lunches with them in the last few years of my dad's life and listen to them talk about the old days. A special memory was when Jay arranged for my dad and I to join him courtside and watch a KU Jayhawk basketball practice on Veteran's Day about 5 years ago (and to sit next to two WWII vets). Another commitment will not allow me to attend the celebration Thursday night but will be thinking of you all.
