Skiied with Jim a few times and saw him frequently. A great man who had a great mind and sense of humor. He will be missed.

I knew Jim through his company and as a golfing friend. He was a good, solid CEO during difficult times for small insurance companies. But mainly, he was a good friend and a good person. I'm sorry to hear the news. Blessings.

Karen and I lived next door (to the west) to Jim and Esther on Princeton Blvd in Lawrence for a number of years. Wonderful people and devoted to each other. They set a wonderful example of a successful marriage. They often talked about the pair of cardinals that frequented the neighborhood. They named them George and Martha and appreciated the metaphor of how they mated for life. I worked at First National Bank of Lawrence for a number of years, which is where I first got acquainted with Jim, who served on the bank board of directors. We miss them both.
