I knew George through his brother,Dan, at LHS. Later, I worked for George at Pence Garden Supply where he taught me to plant trees and shrubs; lay sod; and develop a love of yard work. George was indeed the developer of downtown Lawrence planting--the trees we still enjoy were his doing. He was one of a kind and a joy to work for and with.

To George´s family and friends , Sending my condolences to you at your time of loss. George was a great landscaper, and even better friend. He will be sorely missed.
Sincerely, an old friend,
Rita
