Gaye Kitsmiller Obituary
Ms. Kitsmiller died Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at her home.
She was born January 23, 1958, in Lawrence, the daughter of Herman E. Morris Sr and Iris L. Mendell Miller. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1976.
Ms. Kitsmiller was an animal lover, she enjoyed her beloved dogs, horseback riding, and was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association.
She is survived by a son, Kevin Kitsmiller of Eudora; daughter, Lacey Kitsmiller of Leavenworth; father, Herman Morris Sr and longtime companion Kay of Lawrence; mother, Iris Mendell Miller of Lawrence; brother, Herman Morris of Lawrence; sisters, Cheryl Freeman and husband Alfred of Lawrence, Kim Moreno and husband Dan of Lawrence; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two children, Russell Kitsmiller and Lea.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Lawrence Humane Society or Always & Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home & Crematory.
