Donna Story Obituary

I have fond memories of Donna during her return to the Lawrence area. I was impressed that even though she had difficulty doing things, she continued to want to learn new things and do new things - develop talents. Specifically, she asked to borrow decorating tips from me because she wanted to make these special cookies for an upcoming shower for one of her grandchildren. She had seen an example online, however, she didn't know if she could copy the designs as they were quite intricate. My husband and I were able to help her get her new chair up to her apartment and assemble it for her. We lent Donna family histories that Stephen's father had written to help her with a goal to write her own history for a Christmas present to her children. We have enjoyed the CD she gave us that has her singing on it. Donna always expressed gratitude for even the smallest of things that we did for her. We enjoyed the opportunities we had to just visit, as well as give her blessings with the assistance from Elder missionaries. We pray that all of Donna's children and friends can be comforted during this time of transition without her physical presence. May we also testify that Donna continues in the afterlife free of her pains and that we will one day see her again. Our love, Kathy & Stephen Egbert
