Donna Rump Obituary

Donna Mae Rump, 88, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018. She was born August 18, 1929, at Clinton, the daughter of William Ray and Erma (Weybright) Harrell.

She was a 1947 graduate of Lawrence High School.

On August 4, 1948, she married Melvin Rump at Danford Chapel at Kansas University, Lawrence. He died March 1, 1992. She is survived by: children, Larry and wife Nedra, Nancy Lee, all of Hutchinson, Barbara Storment and husband Danny of Parsons; sister, Darlene Logsdon of Apple Valley, CA; stepsister, Bea Churchman of Olathe; four grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; 3 brothers, Gerald, Olin and Bob Harrell; sister, Betty Todd; and stepsister, Virginia Clark.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 700 E. 25th Avenue, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Craig Waetke presiding. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to New Covenant Presbyterian Church or Pleasant View Home (Memory Care Unit), in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
