Donna Farrier Obituary

Donna Jean Farrier, 85, was born September 17, 1932 in Newman, Kansas, the fourth child of Harry and Melva Workman. She died Monday, April 30 at LMH from complications related to a heart procedure. Donna married David Farrier in 1951. He preceded her in death in 2012.

She is survived by her son, Eric and wife Jacki and grandson Matthew, all of Lawrence. She is also survived by two sisters, Darlene Musick (Norman) of Eudora and Dixie Ravgiala of Lawrence. She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Workman, two sisters, Berneice Riley and Dolores Trapp. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in 1950. She retired as a Data Entry Specialist from Curtis 1000. Donna was always a very active person and wanted to help people. Her latest volunteering was with Meals On Wheels. She loved her church, Connect Church and thought Pastor Nate Rovenstine was the best. She was also very active in the Ladies Bible Study group and Small Groups through the church. Donna loved life and people, always visiting and laughing. She was well known for her pies. If you were lucky enough to get a piece, you wanted more. She was beyond grateful for her latest rescue dog, Rudy.

Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, May 12 at Connect Church, 3705 Clinton Pkwy, Lawrence. Cremation is planned with private inurnment.
