Daniel Knight Obituary
Dan was the son of Donald J. Knight, Jr., and Wanda (Chenoweth) Knight.
He is survived by two daughters, Rachel Knight of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Sarah Donnelly and spouse, Hunter, of Vancouver, Washington, his parents, Donald and Wanda Knight, a sister, Michelle Fender, and nieces and nephews.
Dan graduated from Lawrence High School in 1990. He married Marsha Finney in 1990, and they were blessed with two beautiful daughters. They divorced in 2014.
His career was very diversified. He worked as a children's pastor in Delaware and Maryland for 15 years. Among his other East Coast adventures, he served as a radio news anchor on a Christian Radio station, at which his Bill Clinton impersonation became quite popular. In 2004, he returned to Lawrence, Kansas and resumed a job at QuikTrip. He was on the original crew that opened the KwikTrip in Lawrence, where he served as 1st Assistant Manager. In 2017, he took a job with Mennards where he exceeded their expectations until his departure. He also enjoyed playing the stock market.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Christ Community Church, 1100 Kasold, Lawrence, Kansas.
Donations may be made to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) in his memory.
