Christopher Bower Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, and friend Christopher D. Bower on November 1st.

Born June 20th, 1965 in Lawrence, Kansas to Vince and Linda Bower, he enjoyed calling Lawrence his home. He was a Lawrence High School alumni and U.S. Army and Reserves veteran. His creative spirit, endless curiosity, sense of humor, sensitive nature, and devotion to his best friend, Kai whose so recent passing affected him greatly, will be forever missed.

A memorial service and art show will be held at 2 pm Sunday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. The family encourages any donations be made in his name to the Lawrence Humane Society, in care of the funeral home, 601 Indiana St., Lawrence, KS, 66044. Online condolences may be sent at rumsey-yost.com

My heart goes out to all of Chris' family. He was a truly unique and wonderful man. I love him still very much. It is with many tears and a heavy heart I will try to move forward with his sense of humor and truly beautiful smile in my heart. He was a true artist and one of the best at any one of his chosen crafts. Forever he will live on in mine and my family's hearts & souls. He TRULY and undoubtedly touched my heart and soul where he changed my life and hunger for knowledge & art forever. You will be forever missed. All My Love
