Robin Harlow Obituary

An angel on earth, Robin Myrick Harlow, 75, is now an angel in heaven. A gentle bright spirit, a loving caring mother, a wonderful wife, an exceptionally loyal friend, a highly moral person, a very intelligent independent woman of sound judgment, gifted with charisma, mindful of the needs of others, and a strong Christian servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, Robin died and went to heaven on December 19, 2025.
Born Robin Rae Myrick in Martinsburg, West Virginia, on November 23, 1950, she brought great joy to her parents, Peggy Lou Henry and John B Myrick Jr. Robin was reared by her paternal grandparents and lived with them and her Uncle Jake in a general store owned and operated by her grandfather. Uncle Jake Myrick was more like a big brother. Robin graduated Magna Cum Laude from West Virginia University, and earned a master's degree in counseling from Florida State University. Her career included being a counselor, a social worker, and a hardware clerk. Her crowning glory was serving as the New Members Coordinator for the First Presbyterian Church. She would meet a new family on Sunday and provide all the pertinent information about them at the staff meeting later in the week. Many families were guided by Robin to become members of the church. She was a skilled home decorator. She wallpapered entire rooms. Once, she and a friend installed a huge wooden floor. A great seamstress, she made Tyler some great Halloween outfits, including Las Vegas Elvis.
Robin is survived her husband Dr. Jeffrey Harlow and her son Tyler Harlow and his wife Wendy. Also still living are Uncle Jake, sister Jan Myrick, and cousins Nancy, Diane and Lisa Myrick, as well as cousin Joann Moody, her daughter Victoria and granddaughter Harlow Cordoni. Robin was loved by Jeff's family, of which there are a multitude, as well as many close and dear friends.
Robin was preceded in death by her mother Peggy Lou Henry and step-father Reginald Walsh; father John B Myrick Jr; paternal grandparents John Burns Myrick Sr. and Maria Pauline Randall; maternal grandparents George William Henry and Hazel Virginia Barker Henry; Uncle Randall and Aunt Donna Myrick; Aunt Harriet Myrick; Aunt Liza Leslie; Uncle Sunny and Aunt Wanda; and cousin R.B. Henry.
Despite using a wheelchair for two years, then being bed-bound for three years, being hospitalized many times, and undergoing multiple surgeries, including two deep-brain surgeries, Robin never complained. Although Robin knew that Parkinson's disease was an incurable degenerative disease, she made a resilient and determined fight against the ravages of this disease for over 13 years.
Jeff and Tyler express great gratitude to Robin's primary loving caregiver Charlene Morris. We thank all the nurses, doctors, nurse practitioners, and physical therapists who treated and cared for her.
Robin's memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on January 31, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church of Charleston, West Virginia. The service may be viewed on YouTube at First Presby WV.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church.
Condolences may be sent to the family at www.barlowbonsall.com.
