Before moving to Yadkinville, he was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and later became a member of Maplewood Baptist Church. Larry was saved in 1968.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Vernon Shore (Vickie), Ray Shore (Carol); sister, Betty Lou Morris (George); nephews, Len and Larry Gene Shore; father-in-law, Jesse Boyd; mother-in-law, Betty Boyd.

Brenda, we are so very sorry. Please know that Pam and I are thinking of you and your family and saying prayers for your comfort. Our mother, Mildred Rule Cartner and your father, Jesse, were first cousins. Lester´s mother and our mother were first cousins - their mothers were sisters (the only biological full siblings). All that to say is that I have fond memories of you and Larry and I know your heart must be hurting. May the presence our Lord and Savior brings you strength and peace.
