Obituary of Kenneth E. Hine
Kenneth E. Hine Sr., (Senior) 81, of Gilbertsville, PA, passed away on February 21, 2025. Born on January 25, 1944, to the late Clinton W. Hine Sr. and Mary Rebecca (Belles) Hine. Ken was a resident of Spring City, PA until he married and settled in Gilbertsville, PA.
Ken dedicated many years of his life as a heavy equipment operator, working hard to provide for his family and those he cherished. Outside of work, Ken found joy in the great outdoors, especially during his trips to Lake Wallenpaupack and upstate New York. Whether fishing, boating, water skiing, ATVing, snowmobiling, long walks, cookouts or Sunday dinners, he treasured time spent with his family, creating countless memories with his grandchildren and loved ones. His loyal companion, Bailey, was always by his side while meeting the neighbors and their dogs on walks.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Theresa (Matta) Hine; his children, Kenneth E. Hine Jr. (Annamae) and Elisha Hine; his cherished grandchildren, Mackenzie, Sean, Journie, Emily and Drew; and one great-grandson. He also leaves behind his brother, William Hine, along with a niece and nephew. He is predeceased by his parents, the late Clinton W. Hine Sr. and Mary (Belles), and his younger brother, Donald Hine.
A time to greet the family will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM at Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge Street, Spring City, PA 19475. Military honors will begin at 6:30 PM to honor Ken's service and dedication.
