Arthur Norton Obituary

Arthur Joseph Norton, age 91, of Warrensburg, MO, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024, at his home.
He was born June 16, 1932, in Denver, MO, the son of Ralph and Blanch (Sharp) Norton.
Arthur married Merle Wulff on November 26, 1959, and to this union, two children were born, Rhonda Jo Taylor and Reva Jo Norton.
Arthur served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955.
He earned his BS in Education in 1958 from Northwest Missouri State University, and his MA in Accountancy in 1959 and PhD in Accounting in 1973 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He received his Certified Public Accountant certification in 1962.
He served as professor and chair of the Department of Accounting at Central Missouri State University from 1965-1993.
Arthur is survived by his daughters, Rhonda (Jon) Taylor and Reva Norton; and a grandson, Braden Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Merle Norton; and his parents, Ralph and Blanch Norton.
Graveside services were held on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Peter Norton officiating.
