Kenneth Koger Obituary

Kenneth L. Koger, 91, of rural Wapakoneta passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at his residence.

He was born in Alpine, Tennessee on August 16, 1926, the son of the late Joe and Nova (Garrett) Koger. He is also preceded in death by a son, Michael Kenneth Koger in 1960, three brothers and two sisters.

On February 8, 1952 in Lakeview, Ohio he married the former Wavelene G. (Klopfenstein) Koger and she survives in Wapakoneta.
He is also survived by a daughter, June Walker and domestic partner, Ken Rosendale of Aurora, CO and a son, Todd W. (Mark Hurtt) Koger of Columbus, two grandchildren, Tony Laremore of Aurora, CO and Onni (Kurt) Heberlein of Bailey, CO and numerous niece and nephews.

Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Army serving during WWII. He worked as a farmer and also worked at Roettger Hardwood, a cabinet maker for Airstream Incorporated. He was a member of the Kettlersville Immanuel United Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing, horseshoes, and playing Euchre.

Pastor Ed Rinehart will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 214 W. Pike Street, Jackson Center. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Loramie Valley Cemetery, Botkins with military honors.
