Christopher Powden Obituary

Christopher Allen Powden passed away on Thursday March 24th, 2022 surrounded by loved ones after a brief battle with illness. He was 64.

Chris was born on February 18th, 1958 in Lebanon, New Hampshire to Charles and Doris Powden. As one of 7 children Chris had long been a family man. One of Chris's biggest joys was raising his three children Casey, Marykate, and Michael with his wife Beverly. One of Chris's proudest moments was adding an additional daughter to the family when Michael married his wife Laura. Recently, Chris had discovered the joy of being a grandparent to the light of his life, Jax.

As a long time resident of Goffstown Chris enjoyed bringing joy to everyone he encountered and was honored to be a part of so many special moments as a gemologist and the owner of Powden's Jewelry for the past 20 years.

In addition to his immediate family Christopher is survived by his 6 brothers and 1 sister, Chuck, Mike, Rob, Tom, Tim, and Mary Margaret. His mother in law Francis Brayman. In-laws Douglas and Cynthia Brayman and many nephews and nieces.

Christopher is predeceased by his parents Charles and Doris Powden and father-in-law Douglas Brayman.

Calling hours will be held Thursday March 31st from 3-7 pm at French and Rising Funeral Home in Goffstown followed by a graveside service on Friday April 1st at 10 am at Westlawn Cemetery extension in Goffstown.
