Wayne Tremble, Jr.
Mar 22, 1936 - Feb 21, 2025
Wayne Tremble, Jr. was born in Arkansas City, Kansas, on March 22, 1936, and passed away on February 21, 2025, in Tulsa.
Wayne's parents were Viola and Wayne Tremble Sr, of Blackwell, Oklahoma. He was a 1954 graduate of Blackwell High School, and married his classmate Bonnie Ruth Parker that same year. Their children are Michael Wayne Tremble, Jeffrey Alan Tremble, the late Richard Gene Tremble, and Sharon Lynn Tremble. Their grandchildren are Morgan Laura Tremble and Jenesis Jean Tremble Inks; and great-grandchildren Lexis DeNae' Cranford Moore and Nathan Bryce Cranford.
Wayne and Bonnie attended all of the Blackwell High reunions through the 65th anniversary. He was an avid athlete, playing baseball, football, and basketball in high school, then coaching his kids' Little League and softball teams. Wayne was an avid golfer up until his 80th year, and scored two hole-in-ones in his lifetime of golfing.
Wayne graduated from the University of Tulsa at the beginning of the computer age. He created a resume that was an early computer printout, on green lined paper, and was successful in his job search with it. He worked for Public Service Company of Oklahoma and Sooner Federal Savings and Loan for brief periods, then was hired by American Airlines where he worked for 30 years, ending his career as a manager of 50 computer programmers. Wayne retired in 1999, escaping out the door before the Y2K non-event.
Wayne traveled with Bonnie all over the world, seeing the sights and playing golf. As an American Airlines employee, standby travel was free, but not always convenient. Bonnie and Wayne spent the night in airports and unexpected places several times. They were members of Rolling Hills Country Club, then Meadowbrook. Wayne enjoyed a cocktail before dinner each evening and was a good friend of Johnnie Walker.
Wayne lived at Trinity Woods for nine years, where he cared for his wife Bonnie for several years before her death. The Tremble family are sincerely grateful for the care provided by the staffers at Trinity Woods to Bonnie and Wayne.
Wayne was predeceased by wife Bonnie; siblings Frank and Luann; and son Rick.
