Virginia Huggins Obituary

Virginia Huggins

September 1, 1931 - March 1, 2025

Virginia Huggins was born in Sand Springs in 1931.

Her parents, Ralph and Jessie Lester, raised her, her brothers Herschel and Huey, and sisters Betty and Edna Jean.

She married Blaine (Buddy) Huggins, and they raised Shelly, Stacy, David, and D'Ann. She and Buddy also raised their granddaughter, Caitlin.

She also spoiled Bella, Molly, Sophie, and Rockford with love, snuggles, and most of the food from her plate.

Virginia was fierce and feisty. She never stepped down from a fight for something she believed in or to defend someone she loved.

She was outspoken and often described as a combination of Ouiser and Clairee from 'Steel Magnolias,' Virginia could make you laugh and cry in the same conversation.

You always knew where you stood with her, even if she thought something you did was stupid.

She loved Vince Gill, George Jones, and having a beer while listening to Merle Haggard with Buddy on Friday nights.

Her fierce personality framed her children into strong, outspoken members of the world. They loved her dearly and will emulate her for the rest of their lives.

The family is having a private service; tributes can be made for her through donations to the Humane Society of Tulsa, where we got sweet Molly Marie many years ago.
