Pierre Jean Greeff of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on June 29, 1941, in Rivesdale, South Africa, to his parents, Hugo and Leonie Greeff, Pierre led a life marked by passion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to helping others.

Pierre met the love of his life, Dinah Mullen, during his medical residency at Saint Joseph's, where Dinah was a nurse. Their connection was immediate and enduring, culminating in a marriage that spanned 52 joyful years. Together, they raised two sons, Matthew and Tim, creating a family deeply rooted in love and resilience.

A graduate of the University of Cape Town, Pierre devoted his career to Surgical Oncology, serving as a beacon of hope for countless patients and their families. Known for his skill and perseverance, he approached every challenge in the operating room with unmatched care and determination, often working long, grueling hours fueled only by peanut butter and his resolve to make a difference. For 25 years, Pierre served at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, where his colleagues and patients alike admired his dedication and compassion. He retired at the remarkable age of 78, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and humanity.

Pierre is preceded in death by his parents, Hugo and Leonie Greeff. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dinah Greeff; his sons, Matthew Greeff and Tim Greeff; and a host of other loving relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

A celebration of Pierre's life will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Schaudt Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel, followed by a reception in Schaudt's Wine Room until 7:00 PM.
