Donna Miller Obituary

Donna Miller passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at her home in Tulsa on December 29, 2025. Born on October 14, 1944, in Sterling, Colorado, she was the fifth of Marion "Red" and Ruth Hartway's seven children. Donna will always be remembered and cherished by her husband and best friend John, her two sons, Gray and Grant, and her grandchildren August and India, as well as by her siblings and extended family, including John's five sisters and their families. Preceded in passing by her parents and oldest brother Jimmy, Donna is survived by her three sisters, Janice, Nancy and Mary, and two brothers, Bobby and Joe. She was a devoted family cheerleader and reunion organizer.

After hearing her sister Mary tell funny stories about Johnny Miller, the new kid in school, Donna decided to get to know "Kid Iowa". She asked him out to a Sadie Hawkins dance and the rest was history; five years of dating and sixty years of marriage. They never quit "having a crush" on each other.

Donna devoted herself to family and shared God's unconditional love with everyone she met. She was extremely creative and, while at home with her two sons, started numerous businesses from their home showcasing her calligraphy, scrapbooking and desktop publishing expertise. Professionally organized and amazingly generous, she loved sharing her skills and helping others create beautiful scrapbooks to pass on cherished family memories. Donna loved being "Gigi" to her grandkids and called them "the frosting on my life's cake".

In 1975, Donna and John began attending Asbury Church in Tulsa, where Donna volunteered in many different roles, often focusing on missions. She loved being a member of the Happy Christians community that John has served as teacher for over forty years.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held on Saturday, February 14 at 1pm at Asbury Church, 6767 S. Mingo, Tulsa, OK.

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21
