James Florence Obituary

James H. 'Jim Jim' Florence Jr., of Youngstown, OH, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024. Father of Khalil Myers and Xavier Florence; son of James H. Florence Sr. and Sheila L. James; stepson of Nancy Florence; brother of Nanelle Florence, Mary Smith, and Desiree Matthews, Also survived by a host of other family members and friends. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Willow Way Worship Center (formerly Living Water), 736 Washington Avenue, Braddock, PA 15104, where the funeral service will be held after the visitation 12 p.m. Interment Monongahela Cemetery. Services of comfort entrusted to WATTS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, INC., 808 Talbot Ave., Braddock, PA 15104 (412) 271-3880. Nose and mouth protection is voluntary for attending visitation and service.

Jay was always there when I needed someone to talk to. He really understood where I was coming from, and was always compassionate and willing to listen. He was never judgemental and always gave me a nudge in the right direction when I was feeling lost. I still can't wrap my head around all of this. Rest easy, Brother.
