Edna Santoro Obituary

Edna (Ward) Santoro, 96, formerly of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2026. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Angelo Santoro; son-in-law, Don Lysacek; parents, Elias Ward and Mary Ward (Sanner); four brothers; and six sisters. She is survived by daughters, Tanya Santoro Lysacek and Chyrisse Santoro (Russell) Chason; grandchildren, Laura Lysacek, Cole (Laurel) Chason, Evan (Dang) Lysacek, Dana Chason (Tom) May, and Christina Lysacek (Ryan) Metzger; and nine great-grandchildren. Edna's true passion was her family, helping and taking care of family with whatever was necessary. Edna was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steeler fan and loved nothing more than watching her grandchildren compete in sports. She loved playing softball and volleyball and participated in a bowling league for many years. She was a lifelong member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in New Kensington. She was employed by Montgomery Ward in various positions for nearly 50 years.
