Robert Reboy Obituary

Robert J. 'Bob' Reboy, 84, of Scottdale, passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024. He was born March 28, 1940, in East Huntingdon Township, a son of the late Bomby and Mary (Testa) Reboy. Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara J. (Bert) Reboy; four daughters, (Lisa, Kelley, Justine, Celeste); seven grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Juliano. He was predeceased by his sister, Laura Kaczmarek; and brothers, Louis Sr. and Donald. Bob was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School Class of 1958 and a social member of the former Scottdale VFW and Pleasant Valley Country Club. In high school, he was active in many sports, including track, basketball, and football, for which he was captain of the team during his senior year. During his career, he was a self-employed contractor. Prior to owning his own business, he worked as a foreman at both Modulus in Mt. Pleasant and Duraloy in Scottdale. He became a passionate golfer for life, starting in his early 20s. Other interests included gardening, especially flowers; was an avid reader of current affairs; loved a challenging crossword puzzle; and spent time with family and friends near and far. A man who considered himself a native son of Western Pennsylvania, he went by the nickname, Hawkeye, because it reflected his place of birth. He liked to joke that he considered 'Hawkeye the capital of Scottsdale.' In retirement, he spent winters with Barb in Vero Beach, golfing with close friends. Bob's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, Dec. 28, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, where a memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. www.gjfuneral.com.

I grew up across the road from Bob. Years later, whenever I would bump into him in town he would always take the time to chat and ask about my folks. Just a downright decent guy, always pleasant.

Spent many years working with Bob at SuperValu. He and his crews always got the job done and it was always an interesting experience being around them. Bob was truly one of a kind. RIP
