Richard DeArmitt Obituary

Richard H. DeArmitt, 73, of Mount Pleasant, died on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, in Independence Health Frick Hospital. He was born on July 26, 1951, at Ft. Campbell, KY, a son of the late Richard T. and Wilanda Eichner DeArmitt. Richard was retired from Williamhouse. He was a social member of the Mount Pleasant VFW, and he loved to hunt, fish, and ride his Harley. He is survived by his wife, Mary Bisel DeArmitt; his daughter, Kattie Thompson, and her husband, Todd, of Connellsville; his stepchildren, Sara Hoffman and her husband, George, of Mount Pleasant, Donna Yonish and her husband, Larry, of Youngwood, and Donald Wilaga and his wife, Charlene, of Schroyerville, PA; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; and one brother, Alvin DeArmitt of Mount Pleasant. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Connie Shearer DeArmitt; and a stepdaughter, Bobbi Jo Vickers. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, with Rev. John Sedlak officiating. Interment will be in the Greenlick Cemetery.
