Pamela Corl Obituary

Pamela Joanne (Korzen) Corl, 64, died July 11, 2024, at the Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born July 20, 1959, in Latrobe, PA. She was the youngest daughter of Frank "Bunk" Korzen and Alice(Stubblefield) Korzen of Donegal, PA. She attended Mt. Pleasant Area H.S. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her oldest sister, Barbara Mowrey; and her niece, Amy Dunlap. Pam married Jay Allen Corl on Sept. 8, 2003, on Ockracoke Island, NC, one of her favorite places . They resided in Donegal, at the Korzen family home , another of her favorite places. Pam worked at Roaring Run Resort for many years. She and Jay met there, and for the last six years, operated the business together. She planned the yearly activities showcasing her creativy and eye for detail. She will be remembered for her intelligence and love of reading. She had a passion for studying the bible, having read it multiple times, and multiple versions. A self taught, expert of gardening, bird watching and many other things. Pam was gifted at baking and cooking, preparing both new and favorite recipes, that were pleasing to the eye and the palate. Throughout her life, she was enthusiastic about traveling and vacationing with her family. Another joy of hers, was acquiring collections of various antiques and collectibles with her sister. Pam will be sadly missed by her family, and her dogs, Cooper and Zoe. She is survived by her husband, Jay; her sister, Sherry Zimmerman and husband, Ray, of Latrobe; her daughter, Nicole Shreve, and husband, Josh of Laughlintown; her five grandchildren, Rylee Dyson and fiance, Kendra Pecora; and great-granddaughter, Eve Dyson, Aurora Shreve, Cyrus Shreve, Samson Shreve and Vaeda Shreve; and her three great-nephews and a great-niece. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Donegal, PA. She will be privately interred.
