George Carroll Obituary

George Carroll, age 80 of Longwood at Oakmont, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024. He was the son of the late Mary and George W. Carroll. Beloved husband of 54 years to Margel (Righi) Carroll. Loving father of Sean (Jessica Ellis) Carroll. Brother of Kathryn Stevens, Patrick (Jeanne) Carroll, Eileen (Greg) Pater, Rita (Ernie) Madrid, the late Margaret DeArdo, and the late Shawn Carroll. Survived by sister-in-law, Ruth (Ralph) Clements; and brother-in-law, Alex Righi. George is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. George was a graduate of Notre Dame and Dickinson School of Law. He was a passionate runner, participating in many marathons throughout his life, and even in his later years placing high for his age group. Services private. Arrangements entrusted to the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., Oakmont.
