Kennan Pardini Obituary

Kennan Joseph Pardini

December 26, 1967 – December 1, 2024

Kennan Joseph Pardini passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 in his home. He was 56 year old.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Twin Cities Church in Grass Valley, CA.

Kennan was born on December 26, 1967 in Grass Valley, CA to Ed and Sandy Pardini. He attended Bell Hill and Hennessy Elementary Schools, Lyman Gilmore Middle School and graduated with the Class of 1986 from Nevada Union High School. In high school he played football and track and field. He attended California State University, Sacramento and pilot school in Oakland, CA. He worked in the family business, Hills Flat Lumber Company, for more than forty years. He was married to the love of his life, Lisa Pardini, for 32 years and raised their two sons, Connor and Christian in Nevada City, CA.

He was a member of Simple Truth Church Northpoint, a sponsor and participant in the Nevada County Toy Run, a volunteer with the Senior Firewood Program and an active member of Fit Culture Studio. He had a wide and diverse array of interests, including motorcycling, flying, scuba diving, archery hunting, fishing, camping, survival and outdoor skills, woodworking, a love of the arts and music, reading fiction and non-fiction, cooking and in the last few years RVing.

Kennan, a strong Christian, cared about what he thought was right - while strong in his values was always open to new ideas. He had a curious mind and wanted to experience and learn about the full range of life. He was a sensitive and kind-hearted person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was hard working and dedicated to the family business. He always made time to talk with people and loved to engage in interesting conversations. He was an amazing husband, dad, son, brother, uncle and friend. The most important thing to Kennan was spending time with family and friends, bonding with his boys and going on adventures with Lisa. He loved his family, striving to be the best husband and dad he could be.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Pardini of Nevada City, sons Connor Pardini of Grass Valley and Christian Pardini of Nevada City, parents Ed and Sandy Pardini of Grass Valley, brothers, Jeff Pardini of Nevada City and Jason (Evie) Pardini of Nevada City, sister Deborah (David) Caddy of Grass Valley, and 11 nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward Sr. and Delma Pardini and William and Mary Livesay; uncles David Pardini and Bill Livesay.

The Pardini Family would like to thank Dr. Campbell, Dr. Bouchier, Dr. Hosbein, Forsythe Cancer Care Center, Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, Mercy San Juan, Duane Triplett and Simple Truth Church Northpoint, Hospice of the Foothills, and family and friends for all of their support this year.

I just saw this and I am truly saddened by the news. I played football and frosh basketball with Kennan at N.U. He was the epitome of class and was always nice to everyone. I remember having a very nice chat with him swapping old football and basketball stories at our 20 year reunion. Condolences to his wife and kids and being a believer in Christ Jesus just know he is in paradise with his Lord and Savior.

Kennan was one of the nicest people that I have ever had the fortune of working with. Always calm, friendly, and professional. The world will be a sadder place without him.

My sincerest sympathies to Lisa, Connor, Christian and family. Although I didn´t know Kennan well, our sons attended school together and participated in a few sports as well. Kennan always had a pleasant demeanor and a smile on his face whenever passing him at the school yard or at Hills Flat Lumber.

I am so sorry to hear this. Kennan was one of the good guys. Although our lives took separate paths, it always made me happy when he´d ask my parents how I was, even decades after graduation. My heart goes out to his family and friends and I wish them comfort, love, and support.

I'm speechless, there aren't many memories I have from pre-school through high school graduation that Kennan wasn't a part of. After graduation life took over and we got busy adulting seeing each other around town, at weddings or at the lumber yard. And then it's 38 years later and you're reading the home town paper on-line living 3 states away and see his name. Kennan was the thinker in our group, he had a quite strength about him and I always looked up to him for it. Kennan was someone I tried, and regularly failed, to emulate as we were growing up. What a loss, my sincerest sympathies to Lisa and the boys, Ed & Sandy, Jeff, Jason & Evie, David & Debbie
