Troy Walls Obituary

BRYSON CITY - Troy "Buddy" Walls Jr., 68, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Troy Sr. and Helen Payne Walls. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Malinda Walls; and daughter-in-law, Amanda Walls.
He was a US Army Veteran being honorably discharged after a shoulder injury. He had many professions, but most of all he loved being a private pilot and Christian Minister.
He is survived by his wife, of 49 1/2 years, Ann Walls; sons, Chris (Patty) Walls of Richmond Virginia and Tony (Ashley) Walls of Bryson City; grandchildren, Caleb, Andrew, Rachael, Sarah and Benjamin; and brothers, Epp (Kathy) Walls and Garland (Rita) Walls.
Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7 at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Kenny Ball officiated. The family received friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday at Crisp Funeral Home.
Burial followed at Maple Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers were Daniel Cochran, Keith Waldroup, Ben Walls, Anthoney Vaughn, Josh Stewart, Austin Walls and Shane Cochran. Honorary pallbearers were David Cochran and Doug Cochran.
