Christopher Parris Obituary

Christopher Manuel Parris, 57, of the Alarka Community, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025. A native of Swain County, he was the son of Kay Winchester of Bryson City and the late Manuel Wheeler Parris Jr. He was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Allen Winchester.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, of 24 years, Renee Greene Parris; daughter Shelby (Nick) Davidson; grandchildren, who were the love of his life, Haley Davidson and Harley Davidson; brothers, Jason and Joshua Huskey; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was a friend to all and would do anything that he could for anybody. He never met a stranger. He loved his grandbabies very much.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Harmony Baptist Church. Reverends Tony Cochran and Tim Barker will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday at the church.
