Carolyn always had a mischievous grin and a kind heart. I loved seeing her when I was a kid (even though she was a teenager and I was a little kid cousin who could have been a bother) but she never acted like that. I always knew fun and mischief was around the corner and she was going to be at the center or near the center of it.
She and Patty made special effort to watch over my sister when Mom died..which was never easy and without being asked and I will never forget that.
Rest in peace Carolyn - the world is a better place for the parts of it you touched.

I just called her last week, I knew she sounded weak. My 2nd Mom, she always called me Cinderella. She was such a wonderful soul. I miss her so much already. I will never forget all the things she taught me growing up.

I knew Aunt Carolyn to always be full of love for all those around her and to always be hungry for a little ear snacking / kissing. Never once have I seen her angry. I will miss both her and those ear kisses. Wish I could have one more big hug. Love you Aunt Carolyn!

Where do I start..I'm truly gonna miss this woman..she's been a dear friend to me...n I to her..for alot of years. We watched each other raise our kids ..n both of us becoming grandmas..n she luved all her kids..n grandkids..heck for that matter..she luved all kids. I remember couple yrs back it was July 7th..my bday n Carolyns was July 10th..n I was at her house helpin her mow n weedeat..n Carolyn says..Tammy u don't need to be here helpin me with my yard it's yer bday n I said just sit on yer porch n watch me n Britni get yer yard done...it's yer bday present from Britni n me...she's said.....Yer a true friend. And that's what we've always been..with no 1 argument n all these years.
So I'm really gonna miss her..but she still lives n our hearts n will never forget her.
I'm so sorry for everyone's loss..

All my memories of Carolyn were great ones. She was fun loving, had a big smile. But my favorite part was she had a really big loving heart. She loved her family, friends, and anyone else who knew her. She will be a big loss to her family and friends. And to me. I love and miss her already. Love and miss her already. Joyce Lynn Shamblin Scott.

Growing up with Carolyn was a challenge. As a bigger sister she was always teasing and picking on me( guess that's normal sister stuff). She was always there to help me with my kids when I really needed it...she gave me a place to stay when I needed a change for my youngest daughter.... They remained close until the end....
One memory I'll never forget was her doubling me on her bicycle down the hill from Ravenswood pool, when we were probably 8 and 9, she hit the curb at the bottom and we went flying through the air into someone's yard....We both walked away and laughed about it in later years of our lives....
All can't share all the memories of her here but that was one that has always come to mind as I think about her.... I will miss you bunches....
