Carol Seay Obituary

BRYSON CITY - A devoted servant of God, Carol F. Seay, peacefully entered her heavenly home Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025. Her life was dedicated to spreading hope and love and her unwavering faith will continue to shine through the lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Kate and Berry Freeman; as well as her brother, Kenny Freshour.
She had many professions in her lifetime, which included running her own businesses. The one she cherished most was managing private group homes and providing care for many precious people she loved like family. She had the kindest soul.
She is survived by her partner, Antonio Martinez of Guatemala; sons, Dewight (Jamie) Winchester and Dewaine (Belinda) Winchester of Bryson City; grandkids, Jessica Winchester, Ashley (Brett) Owle, Katie Winchester, Riley Winchester, Reese Winchester, Dewight (Katie) Winchester, Brody Sitton and Brynn Sitton; great-grandkids, Avery and Lakelyn Jones, with two more on the way; niece, April Burgos; and beloved sweet cat, "Ellie."
Her greatest joy was always her kids and grandkids, but all the boys held a special place in her heart. Her smile lit up a room and she would go without in a heartbeat for anyone else in need. Her family will always remember her for her sweet spirit, pure heart and infectious smile.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home.
