Brenda Mae Lafond

Northfield, NH - Brenda M. Lafond passed away July 18, 2024 and the world is a little bit dimmer without her in it. Brenda was born in Lake Placid, NY on April 15, 1960. She met the love of her life, Micheal S. Lafond, at a dance hall called Mud Puddles during her college years in and around Lake Placid, NY. They married September 15, 1984 and have been inseparable for almost 40 years. Their love has been an inspiration to those who had the joy to meet them, their playful banter and loving jokes spreading laughter everywhere they went on their many adventures. Her two children, Joshua Lafond and Chantel Lafond-Carpenter were blessed with the most amazing, funny, kind, sweet, thoughtful and beautiful mother. Brenda enjoyed reading, sewing, crafting, silly headbands, snowmen, and anything with hearts and flowers. Brenda loved cheering on her kids and grandkids at their various sporting events and was an avid college sports fan. Brenda fought a brave fight with illness for over 10 years, still finding love for life traveling with her husband, spending time with her beloved kids, grandkids, family and friends. Brenda is survived by her loving husband Michael; her son Joshua and his wife Robyn Lafond and their children Lily, Kaylee, Jordyn and Preston; her daughter Chantel and her husband Lincoln Carpenter and their son Rogan; her mother Carolyn Wells; and her sister Sandra Cooke and her husband Rodney Cooke; and her sister Marcia Manns. Brenda will always be remembered, loved and missed by her nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins and many friends. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in her name to be made to NHSL Talking Books Library at 117 Pleasant St Concord, NH; or Future in Sight at 25 Walker St Concord, NH. A Celebration of Life service will be held at The Bennet Funeral Home at 209 N Main St Concord, NH Tuesday July 30, 2024 calling hours 4-6 pm with a service immediately following. The family requests that bright colors be worn in Brenda's honor.
