Minerva Batista,102, Hobe Sound, Florida, formerly of Naugatuck, CT, entered into Heaven peacefully, surrounded by her family.
Minerva was born June 23,1923, in Isabella, Puerto Rico. Beloved widow of Guillermo Batista. Minerva is survived by her son, Jesse Batista and fiancée, Kim Langin; Jose Guillermo ( Mito) Batista; Enid Minerva Batista-Gendron and husband, Gary Gendron. Granddaughters, Melissa Batista and Christina Batista. Sister, Olga Rodriguez of Georgia.
Minerva worked several years at Uniroyal stitching dept.
Minerva adored her family. She loved cooking for family events, doing crafts, playing cards and dominoes. Dominoes were always played after family gatherings. She was the Dominoes Queen.
She lived a long, sweet life surrounded by family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
All services for Mrs. Batista will be held privately, at the convenience of her family.
