Joseph Holbert Obituary
Joe Elmer was born Oct. 26, 1939, in Nelson County to the late Joseph E. Sr. and Rhoda Rue Redman Holbert.
Joe Elmer retired from Ford Motor Company. He loved to collect antiques and swap knives.
In addition to his parents, Joe Elmer was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lois Holbert; one son, Troy D. Holbert; one stepson, Gary Wayne Milby; four brothers, Robert, Marvin, Paul and Howard Holbert; and two sisters, Margaret Cundiff and Mary Ann Schaffer.
Joe Elmer is survived by one son, Greg Holbert of Florida; one daughter, Sheila Durbin of Bardstown; three grandsons, Kurt, Justin and Shawn Durbin; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel with Brother Mike Inman officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and continues at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel is in charge of services.
