Teresa Marie Avalos, of Rocky Ford, Colorado, entered into rest, August 16, 2024, in Rocky Ford, Colorado.
She was born to Mary and Gilbert Avalos on November 25, 1985, in La Junta, Colorado. Teresa was 38 years of age.
She is survived by her four children, Markus Rodriquez, Amaya Rodriquez, Jadiss (Kierra) Rodriquez and Elias Rodriquez, three grandchildren, Antonio Sanchez Rodriquez, Amedio Archuleta, Adelaya Rodriquez, mother, Mary Avalos, siblings, Barbara (Nick) Leyba, Diana Palomino (Mary) Marfil, Daniel Palomino, Lisa (Tony) Jones, nieces and nephew, Karen (Mike) Casillas, Brittany Leyba, Lisa Leyba, Shaina (Roberto) Herrera, Lillian (Noe) Rodriguez, Apollonia (Poni) San Miguel, Eric Palomino, Mardi Palomino, Krista Maes, Jaxtyn Maes and best friends, sister Lisa and Tania Whatley.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Avalos and brother, Joseph Palomino, grandson, Antonio Sanchez Rodriquez, and brother in law Jose Maes,
Teresa graduated from La Junta High School and she loved to cook. was fun, she was a jokester. She had beautiful green eyes and was a fast walker always moving around quickly. She was a wonderful mother and loved her babies. She was a hard-core mama bear, when she loved you, she loved you with her whole heart. Her love for Ron and Viola Rodriguez was to the moon and back. She will be missed.
A Memorial Service for Teresa will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the La Junta First Church of the Nazarene. Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
