Charles R. "Dick" Myers

Charles R. "Dick" Myers, 86, of Jamesville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Charles was born September 22, 1938 in Jamesville and graduated from Fabius-Pompey High School. He served as a rifle marksmanship instructor in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a mechanic. Whether you knew him or not, he always had a caramel cream in his pocket for you.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Freida "Ann" Mitchell Myers; three daughters, Sheila Myers of Oneida, Vicky (Patrick) Tily and Teresa Myers (Louie Tily) both of Jamesville; six grandchildren, Kym, Kolleen (Wayne), Jared, Hilaina, Eric and Jeremy (Cheyenne); seven & 1/2 great-grandchildren, Xander, Maddie, Kynleigh, Abbigail, Ethan, Chancey, Oliver and "on the way" Charley Ann; sisters, Alice (Bill) Brandt and Linda Marvin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Irene; sisters, Virgina Belge, Barbara Bush, and Doris Williams; and brother, Edward Myers.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, March 29th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. The service will follow the calling hours.
The family would like to thank Hospice for their comfort and care.
