Pearl Bond Obituary

Mrs. Pearl Rhodes Bond, 103, of Canon, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Brown Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Bond was born in Bowman, GA on May 2, 1921, daughter of the late Claude Herndon Rhodes and the late Ruth Pulliam Rhodes. She was a master seamstress and member of Macedonia Church in Canon. Mrs. Bond was also a member of the Widows Hope Club and the 50 Plus Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Bond; brother, William "Billy" Rhodes; and sisters, Linda Cheek Sorrells, Catherine Burden and Hilda Dumesnil.
Survivors include her son, Lyndon Bond of Athens, GA; sister, JoAnn Blount of Greensboro, GA; grandson, Alexander Bond (Jessica); and great granddaughters, Katelyn Pearl Bond and Jennifer Claire Bond.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bond will be held in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025, with Rev. Michele May officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until funeral hour on Sunday afternoon. During other times the family will be at their respective homes.
Flowers are optional; memorials may be made in her memory to Macedonia Church.
Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.

So sorry to hear about Mrs Pearl she was a very sweet lady and I remember walking by old Canon church to go see her and talk to her. I lived a mile from her my whole life and I will truly miss her
